– Leave a long thread for assembling later

Put the safety eye through the mr. Don´t secure with a safety fastening just yet, set aside.

 

BODY – Color A:


1. rnd.                    6 sc in mr (6) – place the round marker in the last stitch

Press the work together and place a stitch marker through st number 2 and 14 from the round marker. Place another stitch marker through st 31 and 43 like this:

Crochet 1 sc through st 1 and 15, continue on the other side and crochet sc in all sts until next stitch marker. Crochet through st 30 and 44 and continue on the other side. Crochet sc in the last sts from this rnd. (30)

     

!!! – Before you continue the body you should close the 2 openings with ss like this:

Expand the loop on the yarn so your work don’t throats up and pull the yarn fra the end out (look at the picture below)

Press the work together and make a ss through st 2 and 15 with the yarn from the yarn end. Continue crocheting through the sts with ss´s till the opening is closed – cut yarn and fasten off. Repeat on the other side. When you are done put the yarn end back.

      

Place the hook in rnd. 28. again.

29-42. rnd.              sc in all sts (30) – Stuff firmly with stuffing

LONG TENTACLE (make 2) – Color A:


For this part you are going to work in rows

1. row                     Place the hook in one of the loops from rnd. 60 (Picture)

2-4. row                     sc in all sts (10), turn with ch

5. row                         dec, 8 sc (9), turn with ch

6-7. row                     sc in all sts (9), oturn with ch

8. row                        dec, 7 sc (8), turn with ch

9-10. row                   sc in all sts (8), turn with ch

  • Change to color B

11-12. row                 sc in all sts (8), turn with ch

  • Change to color A

13. row                       dec, 6 sc (7), turn with ch

  • Change to color B
  • Cut the yarn with color A and fasten off

14-15. row                 sc in all sts (7), turn with ch

16. row                      dec, 5 sc (6), turn with ch

17-19. row                 sc in all sts (6), turn with ch

20. row                      dec, 4 sc (5), turn with ch

21. row                       sc in all sts (5), turn with ch

The arm will look like this:

Now you are going to crochet a row of sc around the tentacle in color C. Start in 1. row and crochet all the way up to row 30. In the top of the tentacle you should press the work together and make a sc in the other side of row 30. Continue on this side and crochet down to 1. row. Leave enough yarn to sew the tentacle together. Press the work together and sew the tentacle together like this:

         

     

  • Cut yarn and fasten off.

 SHORT TENTACLE (make 8) – Color A:


For this part you are going to work in rows

1. row                      Place the hook in one of the loops from rnd. 60 and make 10 sc (10), turn with ch like the long tentacle

2-3. row                  sc in all sts (10), turn with ch

4. row                      dec, 8 sc (9), turn with ch

5-6. row                  sc in all sts (9), turn with ch

7. row                      dec, 7 sc (8), turn with ch

  • Change to color B

8-9. row                  sc in all sts (8), turn with ch

  • Change to color A

10. row                     sc in all sts (8), turn with ch

  • Change to color B
  • Cut the yarn with color A and fasten off

11. row                     sc in all sts (8), turn with ch

12. row                    dec, 4 sc, dec (6), turn with ch

13-14. row              sc in all sts (6), turn with ch

15. row                    dec, 4 sc (5), turn with ch

16-17. row              sc in all sts (5), turn with ch

18. row                   dec, 3 sc (4) – cut yarn and fasten off.

!!! In the arm with 9 sts you are going to make sc in all sts from row 1-7. The rest of the pattern is going to be like the rest of the tentacles.

Now you are going to crochet a row of sc around the tentacle in color C (like with the long tentacle). Start in 1. row and crochet all the way up to row 18. In the top of the tentacle you should press the work together and make a sc in the other side of row 18. Continue on this side and crochet down to 1. row. Leave enough yarn to sew the tentacle together. Press the work together and sew the tentacle together.

 SPOTS – Color B + C:


Embroder spots in color B and C around of the body.
